An idea whose time has come... Having been fascinated by World War I aviation in all its facets since early childhood. I consumed texts on history, biography, engineering, manufacturing, the designers, the pilot’s combat records and the mechanics discussions as fast as I could obtain them. The more I read the more captivated I became. After many years of study, one day the accumulated knowledge crystallized and I realized that I wanted to design, build and fly my own aircraft from the Great War. Searching high and low for a suitable design that would suit my needs led me to the conclusion that what I wanted in a homebuilt just didn’t exist. It became clear that if I wanted to fly a full scale multi-place World War I aircraft it was going to be up to me to design and build it. I’m willing to bet you are having that same difficulty finding a full-size, two-place aircraft, that’s why you’ve landed here at Great War Replica Aircraft. GWRA offers you an alternative to scaled down machines with auto engines by providing full-sized, multi-place ships with aircraft engines and 100% aircraft grade materials and hardware. Read more. |
